Beth will be one of the summer session faculty of this year's summer session at Smith College, hosted by the Center for Contemplative Mind in Society. This year's focus will be on the integration of social justice with contemplative practices and pedagogy.
"I am deeply honored to be one of the Summer Session faculty this summer at C-Mind's summer session, along with Dr. Kakali Bhattacharya and Dr. Ram Mahalingam. Our sessions will be exploring how contemplative practices can deepen our own self-reflection about social justice and can enhance our pedagogy in the classroom. This year's summer session will focus on the intersection of social justice and contemplative practices and pedagogy, with a deep intention of centering hands-on and embodied activities. We will be working closely with other awesome colleagues, Dr. Lenwood Hayman, Dr. Steven Murphy-Shigematsu, and Katja Hahn d'Errico. The session is held on the beautiful Smith College Campus.
